Boathouse Row

This shot was taken in the same spot I took the Water Works. This is just in the other direction. Boathouse row is an historic site in Philadelphia. It houses racing sculls on the east bank of the Schuylkill River. The boathouses are seen as centers of the rowing community in the United States. The first race occurred here in 1801. At night, the houses are lit up in a way that resembles gingerbread houses.
