Hold The Line

I don't know about you, but I love the borders on some of the B&W pictures that I see. This my attempt at giving a "professional" look to this shot. Let me know what you think.

Excellent! I love the composition and the border that you gave this image. You should try offering it for sale in the Visitor's Center at the Park or at some local galleries. I would give it a bit more contrast, especially with the cannon.
Just FYI, the Boy Scouts will be holding their annual Valley Forge Pilgrimage and Encampment on 17 February at VFNP. This is done to honor the Continental Army's sacrifice during the brutal winter of 1776-77 during the Am. Revolution. This usually involves actors/park personnel in period costumes giving, among other things, live cannon and musket firing demonstrations and informative outdoor programs. It offers many photo-rich opportunities. You might find it of interest given your many images of Valley Forge.

Did you steal my idea!?!?! lol. read today's post, i just started doing this myself and i think it makes it look amazing! Keep up the framing, maybe we can all go into business and live off the earnings from these photos (if you make it big remember me!)

ps- also, blue skys would be better offsite in my opinion with the white border even further enhanching your art of blue skies, you should frame the one 3 days back and repost it this way. I'd love to see it!

I like the border and title at the bottom, but what really does it for me with the photo is the sky. I agree though, that a little more contrast would do this picture some good.
