I still think the HDR is overdone. But, it does work pretty well in this shot. Make sure you put this one in the abondoned structures theme!

I like this one. Although it is full of details, the well chosen colours give some orientation.

The colors and textures (not to mention the mess) suggest some post-apocalyptic movie set. Great image!

Very intersting shot. It reminds me of my co-worker's office. Nah, it's neater and better organized than my co-worker's office!

Looks like something out of a horror movie like Saw or Hostel. Awesome photo and PP.

Really loving this series!! This HDR just has me so intrigued... but I'm not finding anything on my CS2. Any suggestions? ;-)

@Amy: I know Popular Photography has a tutorial on their website for the CS2 HDR. Google it and there should a few sites that should be able to help.

What I think is over done is the seemingly reflexive criticism that hdr is over done. Like any of the other myriad processing options, it either works for a particular image or it doesn't. Apart from a reference to the body of work of a particular photographer, or a particular image, it's so generic a criticism as to be practically meaningless. Also relevant is the fact that hdr can be used so subtly that it is unnoticeable or so aggressively that it draws attention to itself above and apart from the image. However it's used, whether or not it "works" for a particular image is a matter of personal taste, and not a function of how many other images have used hdr.
