The small community of Fricks lock just turned 250 years old in 2007. They could be celebrating their anniversary, except for one problem. The Philadelphia Energy Company (PECO) was building the Limerick Nuclear Plant in the 1970s, it decided that Fricks Lock wasn't safe to live in. PECO bought the homes and has let them stand dormant. In the 1800's Fricks Lock was a popular port along the Schuylkill river, but now it's basically a ghost town.

Nice shot and an interesting piece of history. Too bad we need that damn electricity, eh? I like how the condensate plume above the cooling towers just "glows" (sorry, couldn't resist that one).
